Subject: Where does mudcat advice get you, eh? From: GUEST,I'll deny that I wrote it! Date: 21 May 01 - 07:59 PM Combine this thread with this thread. Shake well. For the record, we move in together on Saturday. Wish us luck. I totally deny having started this or the two aforementioned threads.

Subject: RE: Where does mudcat advice get you, eh? From: katlaughing Date: 21 May 01 - 08:42 PM For some reason, I thought you were older than 32, Ed. Congratulations and are we ever to know which Mudcatter "she" is? kat |

Subject: RE: Where does mudcat advice get you, eh? From: GUEST,Ed Date: 21 May 01 - 08:47 PM I'll take the age thing as a compliment - not that you know anything about me. As for she, never been near mudcat. It's kind of scary having you tell me that you've known who I am all along! Ed (not that I do) |

Subject: RE: Where does mudcat advice get you, eh? From: Matt_R Date: 21 May 01 - 08:48 PM I knew he was 32, because he was born on the very same day that "Your Mother Should Know" was recorded by The Beatles. |

Subject: RE: Where does mudcat advice get you, eh? From: GUEST Date: 21 May 01 - 08:52 PM Jeeez MBo!!! You are completely correct, of course. I'm somewhat spooked that you recognised / remembered!

|
Subject: RE: Where does mudcat advice get you, eh? From: Matt_R Date: 21 May 01 - 08:55 PM Of course I remember! I also remember not to correct your spelling of "millennium" anytime in the future! |
|
Subject: RE: Where does mudcat advice get you, eh? From: Jande Date: 21 May 01 - 08:57 PM Good luck, My partner is chronologically 12 years younger than me, but we are passionate equals in all ways. He was previously married for eighteen years to a woman one year younger than me. That proved to be a very *unequal* relationship. So, it can go either way... If you are both willing to work things through, give each other the benefit of the doubt, and be prepared for menopause [grin], you'll both go far together. You both have my best wishes! ~ Jande (who still feels a little self-conscious when someone needs to know both our birthdates...) |

Subject: RE: Where does mudcat advice get you, eh? From: Matt_R Date: 21 May 01 - 09:00 PM Coulda fooled me, Jande! I though you were still in your 20's! |

Subject: RE: Where does mudcat advice get you, eh? From: GUEST Date: 21 May 01 - 09:01 PM 'millennium' spelling? don't remember that, don't wish to either. Right now I just feel like quoting Crosby, Stills and Nash: "Our house Is a very, very fine house With two cats in the yard Life used to be so hard Now everything is easy 'cause of you" Ed |
|
Subject: RE: Where does mudcat advice get you, eh? From: GUEST Date: 21 May 01 - 09:09 PM Thanks, Jande. From what you say, your experience is close to ours. I have every intention of working at it, and whilst it may be more 'difficult' than a 'conventional' relationship, we go in with a big advantage. Ed |

Subject: RE: Where does mudcat advice get you, eh? From: Matt_R Date: 21 May 01 - 09:11 PM Yeah, you told me I was the last person in the world you'd want to hang around with! Good luck to you!! From one guy in love to another. Remember me next time you and the beloved go to Mr.Sifter. |

Subject: RE: Where does mudcat advice get you, eh? From: GUEST Date: 21 May 01 - 09:16 PM mbo, i may have said that - who knows. i didn't mean it - sorry to disappoint you, but it's unlikely that we'll ever go to sifters together

From: Jande Date: 21 May 01 - 09:29 PM "I have every intention of working at it, and whilst it may be more 'difficult' than a 'conventional' relationship, we go in with a big advantage." Care to elucidate, Ed? ;`) (my partner wanted to know if you meant what he thinks you meant [chuckle]) MattR... James and I have agreed that it's more like age 7 most of the time! You know...? That age when life is still magical! [grin] {{{hugs}}} ~ Jande |

Subject: RE: Where does mudcat advice get you, eh? From: Charley Noble Date: 22 May 01 - 08:57 AM Maybe you better check, now and then, and make sure there are no mysterious containers in your refrigerator, i.e., no green and yellar eels. |

Subject: RE: Where does mudcat advice get you, eh? From: Hollowfox Date: 22 May 01 - 11:31 AM "Conventional" relationship? You're both from the same planet? Good. Same species? Even better. (The lyrics of "Space Girl's Lament", "Eddystone Light", and the "Moose Song" are now going through my brain in rapid succession.) |

Subject: RE: Where does mudcat advice get you, eh? From: GUEST,bbc at work Date: 22 May 01 - 11:51 AM In answer to your question, Ed, Mudcat advice can sometimes get us to wonderful places--health & sanity among them. I've requested support & information a couple of times in rather stressful situations--when my son was wrongfully accused at school once &, recently, when I had a scare at work. Hearing the opinions of thinking people who care about me has been a great deal of help. Thanks, friends! bbc |
