All vegetarians once thought it hard
That McDonald's deep-fried their french fries in lard
Then they changed it to shortening, and all of us cheered
We thought we could eat there, don't blame us

Now it comes to be known that those taters you chew
Aren't quite as vegan as we thought we knew
They're coated with beef fat, they might as well moo
When we tell you, please do not hate us,

They say the Brits' cows are all crazy as hell
And if you eat from them, you will be as well
But it's not just the burgers that cast this same spell
You'll find "mad" is not what "irate" is
