This was a great favourite on "Childrens' Favourites" with "Uncle Mac" every Saturday in the early fifties. The BBC Light Programme naturally. The version he played was by Max Bygraves. I don't know if it was a cover. I believe there is a CD of "Childrens' Favourites" available. ah yesterday ! leave me alone !! love etc from teh fB
