Many of you know that loki.mudcat.org is a mirror to the mudcat.org web site. Just wanted to let you know that loki will be out of operation for a few days. We're doing some maintenance on her.

It was in Long Dark Teatime Of the Soul I think, by DOuglas Adams, where someone had Loki glued to the floor or a 2nd floor walk up...

No wait... that was Thor...

Oh well...

and Loki didn't BIRTH Fenrir.. he knocked up the giantess Angrboda and SHE birthed it... Also Hel and Jormungand.. musta been a hell of a birth...

Off hand, I'm unable to think of any examples where Loki cavorts around as a woman... or even in drag... That was kinda Thor's gig...

Actually, if you read up on the mythology, Loki (in guise as the 'trickster' of the so-called "Norse" religion) is in drag on a couple of occasions. Bullfinch gives a story of Loki in female guise in at least two occasions relating to the tale of the death of Baldur. First, as a woman to decieve Frigga into relating the one thing on earth that could kill Baldur (Frigga having previously sworn a promise not to harm Baldur from all other things besides mistletoe), then again as an old crone named 'Thaukt'. Baldur had been given reprieve from death on the condition that all living things cry for his fate, and in the form of the crone Loki refused to cry, thus keeping Baldur dead.

Now, none of this really relates to servers. But I thought someone might like to know.

The help forum still lists Dharma as one of the servers. I thought Dharma was the newest server, having only been added a month or so ago.
