Subject: &LYR-Song@start of BBC's Land of Plenty From: katlaughing Date: 04 Jun 01 - 01:58 PM BBC America has been running this series, Land of Plenty, for the past few weeks. It starts out with a woman's voice singing a beautiful, haunting song. It sounds as though she is singing in Gaelic or something. Anyone know what it is? Also, has anyone read the book the series was based on? Thanks, kat |

It's a beautiful sounding song, but they only ever play a snippet at the beginning. The series has ben excllent; some fantastic acting. We've enjoyed it enough, I am going to get the book and read it. (Usually I do that in reverse order.:-) kat |
