Just to remind everyone that Beverley Festival begins tomorrow and that Sam & Ian will be there and are due to play on Friday night in the leisure centre. On Saturday night Sam's birthday party will be in Nellies (White HORSE) presumabley upstairs. Sam and Ian will be instantly recognisable -they are old grey wizened types with a slight American drawl. See everyone over the weekend.

Quite a few of "A'nt Mahtha's" Ancestors hailed from around Wales and Scotland - the only one of mine that I can document got captured at the Battle of Dunbar in 1650 and shipped over to the Saugus Iron Works as an indentured servant.

We hope to get over there some day to pay our respects - but it probably won't be this year!

This is a lovely festival and the beer is cheap. Singarounds in The Sun (Tap & Spile) and White Horse (Nellies) and Musicians in the Tiger. I shall be auctioning Micca's tankard on the saturday night!
