Subject: Harry Nilsson Would Have Been 60 Friday From: BobP Date: 12 Jun 01 - 04:59 PM Born 6/15/41; Had he still been among us, Friday would have been Schmilsson's 60th.
That's all I really wanted to say. He was very talented fellow, and I'm glad to have shared the planet with him for awhile. I never wanted to learn any of his stuff. The only singer/songwriter, who's stuff I collected, for which that statement would be true. It has something to do with knowing how far short my efforts would fall . . . He was an original.

Subject: RE: Harry Nilsson Would Have Been 60 Friday From: GUEST Date: 12 Jun 01 - 05:09 PM Yes, Harry Nilsson was very talented. Unfortunately, he died at 53 from a massive heart attack. The number 1 risk factor for heart attack is smoking. Harry Nilsson was a heavy smoker. Another talented life cut short by the stupidity of smoking. |

Subject: RE: Harry Nilsson Would Have Been 60 Friday From: GUEST,Callie Date: 13 Jun 01 - 05:58 PM I miss his music. Just magic stuff. The music never really goes away, luckily. I could listen to his "Without Her" (not to be confused with "Without You") all day. I have a fantastic interview with him I taped from the radio about 15 years ago if anyone is interested. Callie |
