The thread „My father he was Orange..." gave me the idea to post this. It use the same melody and start of the lyrics. It is a transcription from the singing of Alastair MacDonald. I think I got it right with the exception of one place name.

Chorus: Oh, it is the greatest mix-up that I have ever seen,
his father is a German and his mother is a Queen.

1. Oh, he is the Prince of Wales, although he’s England’s future King
and his granny is the daughter of a Scotsman’s Highland fling.
His aunt in Holland is a niece of Norway’s Royal pair
and if they all died in their beds, he’d be the Belgian heir.
His father’s mother came from Greece, his aunt’s Bavarian
and himself he wears the tartan of the Royal Stuart Clan.
His second cousin’s Danish, at least that’s what he thinks,
for surely Queen Victoria must be the missing link.

2. His mother she is English now or Scottish in (Caleen)*
Canadian in Canada and German in Berlin.
His cousin’s niece is Swedish and his uncle’s wife is Greek
and he himself must surely be an international freak.
King Billie was a Dutchman and King Jamie was a Scot,
but the Prince of Wales just doesn’t know if he is here or not.
Our King won’t come from London town not yet from Donegal
nor will he be from Scotland for we’ll have no King at all.

* phonetical spelling; stress on the last syllable

Yeahh. We ought to have a rash of songs taking the piss out of the royals. I have no objection to Prince Charles being as cosmopolitan as he is. But is this supposed to be a BRITISH royal family? I hardly think so.

Old ones always another airing.
Whilst being studiously ignored by a resident in an old peoples' home, Prince Charles gently asked "Do you know who I am?"
The reply came "Ask Matron, She'll know".

Or - in the paediatric ward he asked a beautiful young her name.
"Petal", she replied "When mummy was pregnant, a rose petal fell on her tummy, and that inspired her to call me Petal."
The name of the next was Pansy for the same reason.
Finally, a hideously ugly young girl replied to the same question, "Breezeblock".
