Finally got some old film developed on which was a few snapshots taken at the Portland ME ChanteySing in January of 2K.
A few of the better ones have been scanned and sent to Jeff, who has posted them for all to see.

For those unfamiliar with accessing the Mudcat "Family Album": Click beside the little window on the upper right of the main MC Cafe' page so that the little menu scrolls down. Select "Mudcat Resources" > Photos, then "Events" up near the top; They seem to be listed alphabeticly.

I'm hoping that someone else who was there or at the more recent ChanteySing in May can add to this collection.

Haha - I escaped the camera! I think the guy in the hat with his back to the camera in the last photo is Willie-O.

I have some additons to the captions. In the first picture the gentleman with the white beard is connected to the Portland Public Library and a former member of Roll & Go. Cahrley Noble knows his name and will provide it when he sees this thread. The gentleman to the right of "Santa" is Chuck Romanoff of Schooner Fare.

In the second picture the person just beyond Barry is Thom, a new mudcatter at the time. Then, right to left are Alison, Claudia, Eli and Nor.

And Jeri is right about the last picture. The person with his back to the camera is Willie-o.

And, Jeri, the pictures I took came out very dark but you shoed up clearly. Maybe I should post them after all. I am willing to accept bribes (either to post or not to post).

I can't seem to find them, I go to the events page & the last one their is the Whitby Gathering. Why can't I do this (no sly remarks Jeri, I heard that, duh)? Barry

Found them! Not at the top, chronologically, but further down. I just went back and looked again, not at the top where I was expected them to be. (I'll be okay someday -- hey, it was a long but wonderful day yesterday at Songs of Sail!)

I haven't tried to find the pictures yet, if they really do exist and are not a figment of the collective imagination, but Naemanson is definitely refering to Tom Wilsbach, a fine fiddler and Irish piper who occasionally would join Roll & Go for a concert.

There are pictures! The bearded fellow next to me with the white sweater and banjo is Barry Wilson, another former member of Roll & Goooo, hence the name...we are a slippery group to hang with.

I believe Pene DID put the photos up in chronological order, to the best of his ability. My guess is Pene only had the year while the other photos had months/days, and that's why it's located where it is. It was either gonna be at the beginning or the end of 2000, and he stuck it at the beginning.

Go to the bottom of the Events photo page. Go up. The Portland ChantySing link is the first one listed for 2000.
