BEYOND THE SUNSET
Virgil P Brock & Blanche Kerr Brock, 1936

Beyond the sunset, O blissful morning,
When with our Savior heav'n is begun;
Earth's toiling ended, O glorious dawning,
Beyond the sunset, when day is done.

Beyond the sunset no clouds will gather,
No storms will threaten, no fears annoy;
O day of gladness, O day unending,
Beyond the sunset, eternal joy!

Beyond the sunset a hand will guide me
To God the Father, whom I adore;
His glorious presence, His words of welcome,
Will be my portion on that fair shore.

Beyond the sunset, O glad reunion
With our dear loved ones who've gone before;
In that fair homeland we'll know no parting,
Beyond the sunset forevermore!

CHORDS:
Beyond the (D)sunset, O blissful morn- (A7)ing,
When with our Savior heav'n is be- (D)gun;
Earth's toiling ended, O glorious (G)dawning,
(G#)Beyond the (D)sunset, (Em7)when (A7)day is (D)done.

BEYOND
THE SUNSET

Words: Josephine Pollard, Music: W. O. Perkins

Beyond the sunset's radiant glow
There is a brighter world, I know,
Where golden glories ever shine,
Beyond the thought of day's decline.

Refrain:
Beyond the sunset's radiant glow,
There is a brighter world, I know;
Beyond the sunset I may spend
Delightful days that never end.

Beyond the sunset's purple rim,
Beyond the twilight, deep and dim,
Where clouds and darkness never come,
My soul shall find its heav'nly home.

Beyond the desert, dark and drear,
The golden city will appear;
And morning's lovely beams arise
Upon my mansion in the skies.

Susan, isn't that the song that someone was looking for a week or so ago that no-one could find?

I doubt it... I did a Mudcat search before posting it and nothing turned up... If you can recall the thread, though, please let me know what one to look at. Are you thinking of "Take Me Back to Calvary," which was requested multiple times?

No- and I don't see the connection between that and this. The one I was thinking of was Between Here and Sunset which was requested in three separate threads in the last month.

Noreen, thanks. I recall e-mailing that address last year and it being no good-- did you get a reply?

I think it would be a different song, but if you got a reply perhaps you could invite them to come see this thread.
