Subject: Three cheers for Gordon Ingate From: Wolfgang Date: 20 Jun 01 - 08:25 AM Australian sailor Gordon Ingate has won in his boat class at the Kieler Woche (week of Kiel), arguably the biggest and most competitive sailing event outside of Olympics and world championships. Now who cares except some Australian sailing afficionados and why is it worth a BS thread? The man is 75 years old and I've never heard of an older winner in any sports event that was open to all ages. Wolfgang |
