Now, no-one warned me of a man whose manners are quite rough

Just had to get the news as soon as I could! And good news it is, too! Now just get him to behave himself, Karen, and we'll be enjoying his wit and wisdom (read: piss and vinegar) again on these pages before we even finish the big celebration. TICKING! I was going to send my Uilleann Pipe bellows to Spaw's doc to fix the farting sound it's regulator valve makes, but who the hell wants a ticking sound coming out of yer pipes! I am glad I didn't send the pipes to him BEFORE the op, or he might have stuck the U P bellows valve in Spaw for the sake of ecconomy, actualy that might not be a bad idea, that sound may be taken for just the usual noise associated with Spaw, and be less disconcerting than ticking...
Now Sapw, I think we are on to something with your ticking... we can get the timex folks to go back to making wind up watches, reintorduce the old Timex comerciall, and do a sort of Mr. Bill comercial... Coming very late to all this news...'Spaw, I'm so happy that the surgery went well. I'll be thinking of you here in New York as your healing process begins. My mom had a valve replacement last summer and she feels SO much better and stronger now than she did before the operation. Wishing the same for you, and all the best. Margaret

Karen: The relief at the first good news is wonderful, but the daily grind of waiting and dealing with the dozens of little bumps in the road are still there.

I've just heard from Connie. Spaw sat uo for 1 hour today and had his hair washed with some sort of gel in a bath cap (I wonder if there is some sort of bath cap for his arse) Things seem to be going very well. (looks like he will be around pretty soon.
