Subject: Burntwood Folk Festival: 17-19 Aug '01 From: Steve Parkes Date: 25 Jun 01 - 11:39 AM Seeing as the Lichfield FF got about zero coverage a couple of weeks ago (there were street banners advertising the Arts fest next month though!) I thought I'd better give some warning of Burntwood Folk Festival. It's on the weekend of 17, 18 & 19 August, at Chasetown High School, Burntwood, Staffs. There are too many artist appearing for me to mention--check out the website. Steve |

Subject: RE: Burntwood Folk Festival: 17-19 Aug '01 From: the lemonade lady Date: 20 Aug 04 - 08:53 AM Got a little prob with my car... I was filling it with petrol when I noticed it pouring out over the tyre! Arrrgh! hole in fuel pipe! Just getting it fixed; well the car's at the garage but I live in the back of beyond and it might be done by Monday instead of today. I may not be at Burntwood after all. 8-( Have to suck it and see! Sal Ps. Thanks to 'Find-a-Part' for their prompt action. |

Subject: RE: Burntwood Folk Festival: 17-19 Aug '01 From: the lemonade lady Date: 23 Aug 04 - 10:42 AM That was a pretty good weekend. I didn't sell many lemonades, but I did sell some to some interesting people; Julie Felix, Tony Barrett, Cloud Street... I really enjoyed challenging John to sing another harmony to Briar and the Rose... fun eh John? I loved the harmonies of Chase Mist. Vin Garbutt was as good as ever. *Charlie Button and her Dad (Hobgoblin Music, Nottingham) are very impressive and if anyone sees them at a venue list they are not to be missed. Emma Heath (with no Professor) did an excellent performance on her own... get well soon Mark. Pete Rimmer on the beer tent stage was very impressive. Why isn't he booked at festivals? *Scott Hale is another young (hmmph) brilliant singer/guitarist that needs more exposure. These people are unknown and need to be out there doing it! Sal |
