an interesting article from today's Washington Post whatever you may think, the guy is staying calm & sane (unlike some others *grin*)

Good article, thanks Bill. Jim is a good, and principled buy, and I'm sure he is well aware that it isn't always easiest doing the right thing. He's been doing a lot of bucking the system for a long time. This is a lot more dramatic, for good, and painful reasons, but the ultimate is that it's just more of Jim Jeffords doing what he thinks is right.

I'll probably vote for him again, as I've been doing for the past 25 years because of those principles, even though there certainly are times when I disagree with him.

It was truly wonderful, when I clicked on your link, to see at the top of the page the words, "On Sale Now!" followed by "Congress 2001-2002." Though I guess it's pretty clear by now that Jeffords himself is priceless.

Pardon me while I ...no I won't say that. Jeffords has made his choice and I hope he has a long and successful political life in ...Maine? No ...Vermont?

He and Arizona's senior senator, John McCain, make a great duo. DougR
