Queen of tarts just got re-released as a CD, see the website above. That is if you're still looking for it after two years.

If I dig far enough into the boxes in my house I will probably find the cassette of that album (she recorded one of my songs). It'd be no big deal to copy it IF Jacquie's okay with that. I suggest you contact her on Facebook (where she is listed as Jacquie Blevins Manning) and discuss it. She might have a copy lying around and, if not, you can get back to me, also on Facebook.

Jacquie married Rich Prezzioso and they are touring the folk circuit as the Small Potatoes. A great group, two albums out. Reachable at Tuberspace@aol.com, not sure what their website is. Yes, she's a great singer and the spuds are a charming act to see. Margaret and I had the privilege of doing a double show with them once and had a great time. Would be up for doing that again anytime. I'm glad to see nice folks getting the acclaim they are.

Does anyone know whatever happened to Jacquie Manning, who used to play the Renaissance Festival circuit in the late 80s and early 90s? She had a temporary arrangement with another female singer, under whom they were called the 'Bawdy Beggar Girls' and as a solo she worked as 'gooseberry: queen of tarts'. She sang a great deal of classic Celtic music (the well in the valley-o) and funny stuff like 'the Scotsman' and 'dear boss (bricks)'

She had one of the most beautiful voices I ever heard, and would like to know what happened to her after she quit the circuit. Are you still out there, Jacquie?
