Annual Scottish Hogmanay party: Clootie dumpling, stovies, haggis, syllabub, ham 'n pea soup; guid malts, beer and wine; mandolin, concertina, fiddle, banjo; songs frae a' airts; blazing log stove; plenty space to crash when wabbit (old farm house); starts at 7 p.m.; really starts at the bells. Just snowplowed the parking spaces - 15 inches of the dammed stuff out there. And maybe this thread can be used to find out what else is happening around the country/globe.

Don't forget to open all the windows to let the old year out and the new one in.

I used to have Scottish neighbours in Belfast, and no matter how cold it was, we had to open all the windows.

Yup, I'll be there, one arm longer than the other, what can we bring? How should we dress, you are the offical seamstress (sorry, singer) for, is it Clan Mac'Loud', in the states, no? Before I tell some who are farther away, is there room on the floor or in the barn & will the doors & windows stay unbarred (will want to bring some dogs instead of more singers, warmer ya know). I brought this back up again for anyone local to southern New Hampshire, John's music parties are an event to behold, the music's (& the food & drink) great & lasts till dawn. Barry
