Subject: MacCarthy's Party From: GUEST,Barry Date: 28 Jun 01 - 06:29 AM Irish traditional tune sung quietly due to explicit lyrics. This has evaded me for ages! Ask your parents and older relations if you don't know yourself. All I know of it is; "They battered Mrs. Flood...Spilt her husbands blood...Round the corpse of her dear son Archie./.No great harm was done...Good clean Irish fun...Down at MaCarthy's party." Thanks a million. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: MacCarthy's Party From: GUEST,Dita (at work) Date: 28 Jun 01 - 09:05 AM This came up in an earlier thread, type "Macarthy" in the digitrad and forum search box, on the forum home page, and you'll find it. love, john. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: MacCarthy's Party From: Jim Dixon Date: 28 Mar 02 - 09:05 PM "MCCARTHY'S PARTY" is in an old thread here. Note: when using the search feature, either the DigiTrad search or the DigiTrad and Forum Search, it DOES make a difference whether you spell it "McCarthy" or MacCarthy" or "MaCarthy". It also makes a difference whether it's "McCarthy" or "McCarthy's". You have to do it 6 times before you're sure you've covered all the possibilities. Capitalization does NOT matter, however. |
