For those who may follow such things, I've just added to my online song collection Esperanto versions of The Star-Spangled Banner (http://www.geocities.com/lilandr/kantoj/nacihimn/tekstoj/us_eo.htm) and All the Pretty Little Horses (http://www.geocities.com/lilandr/kantoj/lule/AllThePrettyLittleHorses1.htm). The former is the long traditional translation by William G. Adams, an Edwardian cofounder of the Seattle Esperanto Society; the latter is a new (and unpolished) attempt of my own.

Hi, Liland - I have to admit the "eo" made me cringe a bit. I think I'd prefer to see plain English in thread titles. I have to admit, though - it make me look at this thread.
On the other hand, Id like to say that your site is very interesting, and I'd encourage everybody to take a look at it.

Thanks, Joe. "eo" is the official ISO 2-letter designation for Esperanto (the same standard that gives us en for English, de for German, es for Spanish, etc.). I figure if I use it consistently when my postings are essentially Esperantocentric it will warn off those who are completely uninterested and also notify those who may be actively interested. You never know who may be interested. Incidentally, I just posted the Esperanto version of Annie Laurie (and in my hymnal, three texts sung to Ar Hyd y Nos)...
