Hi,

I just came across the thread "Songs that no one likes but you" from some days ago, and I found it an amazing topic. I would add to that, but perhaps this time with a focus on...

..."Songs that bore to death everyone but you"!

That is, because some songs instantly sprang to my mind:

"Bastard Landlord" and "Curse of Love" by The Pogues; "Sweetwater, Texas" by the Charlie Daniels Band; "Peggy Gordon" and "The Verdant Braes of Skreen".

Oh, and I forgot the biggest bore of all: Another Pogues song, which is "Everyman is a King". This brings everyone to sleep instantly, except me - I am thrilled by it.

Dare I mention that I like some Elvis Pressley and Frank Sinatra songs? Their early stuff. Most of my generation just runs off and covers their ears when I put some of these CDs on. Good way to get rid of tedious visitors that think a visit doesn't anything less than a three day stay!
