Singleton Cloggers are always happy to welcome new members who wish to dance or play with the band (tuition will be given to novices)

Singleton Cloggers are a North West Mixed Morris team based at Singleton, Lancashire, UK. (Not far from Blackpool of Tower fame!).

Practises are held on a Monday night at Singleton Village hall from 20.15 (8.15pm)with a meeting after at the Millers Arms Pub! - If you are interested come along one Monday to either venue say hello and have a chat.

Not only is Clog Dancing great fun but also great exercise! and you get to visit lots of interesting location to dance, either Folk Festivals or one of the many Days of Dance held throughout the UK and abroad

Fun for young and old - male and female and if you don't want to dance you can always join the band! Who keep all their energy for glass lifting at the Millers!!

Keep 'em sparking - Pete

Want to give it a go but closer to Edinburgh than Blackpool? Then come and join Jenny Geddes Clog Morris in Edinburgh. We practice on a Tuesday evening, 7:30pm in the Bonnington Resource Centre, 200 Bonnington Road, Edinburgh. Male, female, young, old, dancer or musician all welcome.

Scott

Last night I saw Harthead dance for what might be the last time :-( They are a north west morris side - next year will be there 25th anniversary. I used to dance with them but work etc. meant I could not commit to turning up at dance outs. They have lost quite a few people this year because they have moved out of the area - one is off to Alaska!
They are based in the Cleckheaton area (Yorkshire UK)and are looking for recruits. Anyone who likes folk music, beer, and generally having a good time.

Please contact Duncan or Deanna on 01924 445715

Patrish xx

If UK members are interested in Clog dancing - the Singleton Cloggers day of dance this year (2002) is at Poulton-le-Fylde on Saturday 15th June..... for those not intrested in the dance there's a craft/music fair, and for the rest of us there's an open mic session in The Town Hall Pub and a concert in the evening....

not to mention the booze..................

Inactive Patrish: Should that be Hartshead? Joined 'em for a weekend of dance in Leeds/Spen Valley some years back.('93,or'94) Bloody good side, and real nice folks. Shame if they have to fold for want of new blood.
