Subject: ROLL & GO JULY PERFORMANCES From: Naemanson Date: 04 Jul 01 - 04:15 AM Ordinarily I would not be so bold but since there are three Mudcatters in this group (me, Charley Noble, and Dahlin) I figured we might as well blow our own horns. On July 25 we are performing at the Wells/Ogunquit historical center in Wells on Route 1. This is fairly close to Portsmouth so I hope some of the Press Room gang can make it to the show. On July 28 we are performing with Castlebay (Fred Gosbee and Julia Lane) at the Chocolate Church for their annual Songs Of The Sea concert. Julia is another member of this illustrious Mudcat society. You can get some idea of what you are in for at Roll & Go's website here. |

Subject: RE: ROLL & GO JULY PERFORMANCES From: Tyler Date: 07 Jul 01 - 08:23 AM Wed. night's tough but I'll try to make it- Please remind me closer to the time (i.e. between my Catskills and VA trips). Sorry you'll miss New Bedford this weekend- shame when laundry, grass, cleaning, and sleep take precedence over music! Cheers |
Subject: RE: ROLL & GO JULY PERFORMANCES From: Charley Noble Date: 07 Jul 01 - 09:00 AM The July 25th concert in Wells takes place in a lovely old church meeting house with splendid acoustics; we'll be performing to a mixed summer crowd of families and die-hard folkies, no sound system needed. Admission is on the order of $6. Old Zeb Tilton used to hang around this area and we'll sing Larry Kaplan's song about him. |
Subject: RE: ROLL & GO JULY PERFORMANCES From: GUEST,SingedCat Date: 07 Jul 01 - 10:06 AM Hello Hello to Roll & Go! It'll be great to catch you after such a long absence-- I heaven't seen you guys since the Sea Dog stuff 2 summers ago in Camden. I wanted you to know that Tanqeray Martini-O has gone South-- my buddies in Aiken/Augusta have taken it up with great gusto, and it makes the session rounds regularly at the Augusta Yacht Club. Now if the New York Yacht club will only adopt it as their anthem.... ;-) Susan Hickey |

Subject: RE: ROLL & GO JULY PERFORMANCES From: Charley Noble Date: 07 Jul 01 - 09:32 PM Susan – Great to hear Tanqueray-Martini-o is alive and well; it was originally composed by Jon Campbell from RI but it certainly lends itself to local adaptation. Have you or your friends added any verses? Also, you might check out the MP3 files on our website:rollandgoseasongs.com Cheerily, Charley |
