I don't know if I can copy that here and make it turn out right. It's at the On-Line Guitar Archive - search under 'dixie down.' Just click on the magic URL: http://olga.scranton.com/.

It's easy Em,G,C,Am//Em,C,G,C/Em,C,G,A,A7/ G,C,G,C/G,C,G,C/G,Em,A,C,G As I understand it, Robbie Robertson wrote this for Rick Danko. I don't know the motive but give me The Band's version anytime over Joan Baez's cover. Jack Murray

Subject: The Blizzard & A Daisy A Day
From: dl4bass@swbell.net

Does anyone know the lyrics for "The Blizzard" and "A Daisy A Day". The Blizzard starts off " There's a blizzard coming on and I'm wishing I was home cause my pony's lame and he can't hardly stand"

A Daisy A Day was recorded by one of the Limeliters (60's fun folk group} Chorus is "I'll give you a daisy a day dear, I'll give you a daisy a day. I'll love you untill the rivers run still and the four winds we know blow away"

Thanks

Richard Nixon's the name and I won every damn campa Stonewalled congress's game and tore up the tapes again, In the summer of '74 they were angry and demanding more, By August 8th I had to tell because a tape can remember all too well. On the night that they drove ol' Dickie down, Everybody was cheering, On the night that they drove old Dickie down, Dan Rather was jeering, He went, "Ya-ya-ya-ya-ya-yaaaa!!"
