Subject: RE: BS: vacationing in north carolina? From: BanjoRay Date: 05 Jul 01 - 05:57 PM We called in at the Andy Griffith Playhouse session last summer when five of us came over from the UK. We met some great people and lovely musicians that we played with later on at Clifftop and Galax. A beautiful time that glows in my memory. Thank you Mt Airy - I'll see you next summer - promise! Cheers |

From: Jeep man Date: 05 Jul 01 - 10:34 PM Ah Tarheel, you need to tell them about the wonderful weather, the unbelievable mountains, shrouded in mist, marching on and on into tomorrow. The pure mountain streams, spring fed and so cold it hurts your teeth as you drink. Wild trout dimpling the stllness of a pond just at dark, and the Whippoorwills singing his loneliness into the night. Then you might hear the sound of a fiddle playing a tune from time out of mind. It sounds normal here. By the way, I'm a Tarheel, too. I'm an American by chance of birth, I am a Tarheel by the grace of God. Jeep |

Subject: RE: BS: vacationing in north carolina? From: JeffM Date: 06 Jul 01 - 03:54 PM We went to Merlefest in Wilkesboro, NC, this year. Drove from Canada. Saw Doc and Earl and Dolly and Jerry. The music hangs in the air, even when no one is playing. |
