Subject: RE: Street's of London by Ralph McTell From: Bob Landry Date: 02 Jan 98 - 02:13 PM Great song - I put it in my "A" book years ago. The only recording of it that I can remember was done by Ryan's Fancy (a celtic group popular in Canada years ago). I'm not sure if I still have that tape around - alas, things tend to go astray when matrimonial property gets distributed. Bob |
Subject: RE: Street's of London by Ralph McTell From: Joe Offer Date: 02 Jan 98 - 02:26 PM There's a wonderful CD out called "From Clare to Here: the Songs of Ralph McTell," RHR CD 86 from Red House Records. You can order it direct from Red House at (800)695-4687. It's probably available from many of the CD vendors on the Web, like www.cdnow.com or www.cdworld.com. -Joe Offer- |
Subject: RE: Street's of London by Ralph McTell From: Ralph Butts Date: 02 Jan 98 - 04:35 PM Hi Mr. Poetry Man........Hard to believe, but minutes before I checked into the forum, I was practicing this song. I have a version by Liam Clancy that is simply beautiful and, of course, sad. I'd be happy to make you a copy if you don't get one of the CD's.........Tiger |
