I'm looking for lyrics to 2 older blues songs; Garbage Man Blues (possibly by Bullmoose Jackson) and I've Got Some Presents for Santa.

You can find the lyrics to 'Garbage Man Blues' by Buddy Guy here:

There's another piece with exactly the same title, written by Dan Parker, and mostly associated with the western swing group, Milton Brown and His Musical Brownies. That one is almost entirely instrumental except for the line, 'Get out your can, here comes the garbage man', and a bit of Cab Calloway-type scat.

to Stewie, thanks for looking. This song is much older than the Buddy Guy tune. "Baby stick out your can I'm the garbage man..."is part of the chorus.

STICK OUT YOUR CAN

It's been done by many but the version I know is done by Bob "Steady Rollin'" Margolin

3x: Stick out your can. Here comes the garbageman.

Well, what did the fish say to the eel?
The more you wiggle, baby, the better it feels.
CHORUS: Stick out your can...

Well, I got little woman. she waddles like a duck.
She can't cook but she sure can "sew.”
Stick out your can...

Well, I ain't no feather-plucker, but I'm the feather-plucker's son.
I can pluck your feathers till the feather-plucker comes.
Stick out your can...

Daddy sent Sister out to milk the cow,
But she must have got a hold of the bull somehow.
Mama, mama, come here quick.
Sister got hold of the bull's (he bends a bass note on guitar)
Stick out your can....

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
Thank you for putting up with us.
Here’s a little reminder just in case:
Don’t stick your finger where you wouldn't stick your face.
3x: Stick out your can. Here comes the garbageman.

HTML line breaks added. --JoeClone, 18-Mar-02.

The song in the myspace video is performed by the Luis Russell Orchestra (circa 1922), not Jelly Roll Morton.

I made the video. :)

The Luis Russell orch didn't have any more words. The Four Aces did a version with more words, but no particular connection to the title. I made some for it:

Chorus

Every morning 'bout nine o'clock
Just as her old man heads off round the block
She gets out her can, ready for the garbage man

Chorus

Every evening about half=past four
He finds a nice empty can waiting ready at the door.
Another fine job for the neighbourhood garbage man.

Chorus

Up the street you can hear Miss Lucie cryin'
'Her can's full'... 'And her can's full'...
But you can squeeeeze a bit more in mine.

Chorus
another fine job for the neighbourhood garbage man.

(c) me, but you can use this if you like. What chords do you use? I am used to singing, but fairly new to strumming.
