Hi - Just wondering if anyone knows a good quality yet inexpensive 4 track recorder model. It would mainly be used for demos and such. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Can you give us some more information?

It's more than possible that your current computer (assuming that you're posting from your own computer), with a decent sound card would be adequate.

If it's not your computer, more detail is needed before a well informed answer can be reasonably made.

Tell us your situation, and exactly what you want to do.

Well pretty much what I said. I'm looking for a good quality inexpensive 4 track recorder (cassete). Mainly for demo purposes. Nothing too in depth here - just a recording device with a mixer.

The Fostex X12 might be a thought?

Yes, I have last year's model of the Fostex, the X-14 (for some reason!). It's just fine for the uses you describe.
