Subject: RE: Ripken? Naah. I have seen the future... From: Amos Date: 11 Jul 01 - 11:18 AM Cheer up, Peter. When you come back next lifetime, you can be a nine-year old and torture the old farts with your cooly superior infatuation with Sumo wrestling or laser-wars or whatever the next round calls for. Subject: RE: Ripken? Naah. I have seen the future... From: Rick Fielding Date: 11 Jul 01 - 11:53 AM I AM THE FUTURE OF BASEBALL!! That's what I used to think when I was thirteen, during Little League games. I SUCK! That's what I KNEW, at 15, after getting my brains beat out by the French kids in inner-city Montreal. I HAVE FOUND THE LEAGUE FOR ME! At 37, after discovering the Toronto Arts League slo-pitch group. Comedians, songwriters, playwrites, and other out of shape baseball fanatics. Kept me in fighting trim (well, under 225 lbs) for 13 years. Rick |

("Well, Tim, it is amazing how much leverage Damaso can get with that walker to boost his rifle bounces from right field. And before that ball makes it into the infield, here is a word from our sponsor.....") yours, Peter T. |
