Subject: Bush's left/right confusuon From: GUEST,donuel Date: 11 Jul 01 - 02:22 PM Some think Bush has a speech problem. It goes well beyond that. He can not process incoming speech very well either; When asked about his most difficult decision , he said "whether or not to get married". Well maybe his wife knows what he means. Yesterday he had a photo op at Ellis Island and swore in a couple dozen new citizens. He said "raise your right hand and put your right hand , and put your right hand on your heart" It was sorted out when he was instructed the left hand is raised. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bush's left/right confusuon From: Peter T. Date: 11 Jul 01 - 02:26 PM He knows the critically important difference between the rich and the poor, that is all that really matters. No confusion there. yours, Peter T. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bush's left/right confusuon From: Grab Date: 11 Jul 01 - 04:18 PM Yep, he knows there's no point providing policies to benefit the poor, since they won't be giving him campaign contributions... |
Subject: RE: BS: Bush's left/right confusuon From: SharonA Date: 11 Jul 01 - 04:30 PM Nah, I think his daddy had to walk him through that one, too... How many Bushes does it take to screw in a light bulb? (or should I say "to screw up a nation"?) |
Subject: RE: BS: Bush's left/right confusuon From: Art Thieme Date: 11 Jul 01 - 05:25 PM politicians all: Under capitalism, man exploits man. Under communism, it's just the reverse. Art Thieme |

Subject: RE: BS: Bush's left/right confusuon From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 11 Jul 01 - 06:12 PM Actually I think saying that the biggest decision in their life was whether to get married or not is true of a lot of people. Married or not.
The consensus about this man still seems to be that he's likeable, and that include from the people who think he's an incompetent buffoon. A likeable incompetent buffoon.
I'd have thought he's about as likeable as his clone Mr Bean.
Of course likeable isn't the point. If someone said they'd bought a car from a salesman because they seemed likeable, you'd surely think they were off their head. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bush's left/right confusuon From: Brían Date: 11 Jul 01 - 06:39 PM I thought Bush was confused until I read my local newspaper headline welcoming him home to Kennebunk. I thought he was a Texan. Brían. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bush's left/right confusuon From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 11 Jul 01 - 06:49 PM That's just how he managed to confuse people. He's about as Texan as a kangaroo. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bush's left/right confusuon From: GUEST Date: 11 Jul 01 - 09:10 PM I did'nt know there were so many democrats tuning in to mudcat, with so little to say. It's a sure thing that he knows the definition to the word "is". He surely knows when he's had sex, and how to define what constitutes sex. I'd rather have someone confused, over a rank liar. |
Subject: RE: BS: Bush's left/right confusuon From: GUEST,RichM Date: 11 Jul 01 - 09:47 PM You'll have to do better than that, guest "GUEST". Mudcats have been insulted by better republicans than you.

Subject: RE: BS: Bush's left/right confusuon From: katlaughing Date: 11 Jul 01 - 10:13 PM McGrath, from what did you gather that most think him likeable? I certainly don't. Most of my friends and family don't. I think he a colossal joke and am embarrassed that he represents the USA. kat |
Subject: RE: BS: Bush's left/right confusuon From: MAG Date: 12 Jul 01 - 12:23 AM Bush didn't lie about Cheney's health? about brother Jeb arranging to get Black voters taken off the voting polls? about his committment to education (see his education bill), the environment (and if you don't think the "extraction energy industry" wrote his policies, you're blind deaf and dumb), his opposition to abortion? Is it OK to lie about what should never have been asked in the first place? Is high libido really a greater sin than raping the country? BOY, I like having my own machine, so I don't have to steer clear of politics. -- MAG |
Subject: RE: BS: Bush's left/right confusuon From: BlueJay Date: 12 Jul 01 - 03:44 AM We have a Republican in the White House, which I don't like to begin with. What's more. I think he's a frigging idiot. Couldn't find oil in Texas. My greatest fear is that Vice President Cheany will die of heart disease, which would leave Bush actually in charge. Wait and see. In four years, (which is all Bush will serve), his efffectiveness as President will be rated somewhere near Sphaghetii-O's. I'd prefer Cheatin' Bill, who was able to get things done, to a popular moron anyday. Bush can't even make his mind up about stem cell research. Too many people pushing from different sides. I'd respect him more if he would just take a stand. We all know how that's going to end, don't we? Bush will fall in line, and side with the same mindset that fought so vehemently to preserve the idea that the sun moved around the earth. Thanks, BlueJay |
Subject: RE: BS: Bush's left/right confusuon From: Kjell Date: 12 Jul 01 - 09:19 AM A beautiful blonde woman, a less attractive woman, Bill Clinton, and George Bush were all sitting on a train. The train goes into a tunnel and everything goes dark. Soon after they all hear a "slap". As the train comes out of the tunnel and the compartment is lit back up, everyone sees a red mark on Bill Clinton's cheek. The blonde thinking to herself says, "I bet he meant to grab me and grabbed the other woman and she slapped him." The less attractive woman thinking to herself says, "I bet he grabbed that blonde woman and she slapped him." Bill Clinton thinking to himself says, "I bet George Bush grabbed that blonde woman and she slapped me thinking it was me." George Bush thinking to himself says, "I can't wait to go through another tunnel so I can slap Bill Clinton again!"

Subject: RE: BS: Bush's left/right confusuon From: CarolC Date: 13 Jul 01 - 04:27 AM I don't know where the 'likeability' thing comes from. That's certainly not the first word that comes to my mind when I think about him.
(fingernails on chalkboards) Ahem! What? Did somebody just say something? |
Subject: RE: BS: Bush's left/right confusuon From: LR Mole Date: 13 Jul 01 - 02:38 PM In Edwin O'Connor's book "The Last Hurrah" (which, being a novel, is about truth, not just facts), somebody tells the mayor, in reference to another politician, that "...everybody likes him". The answer is, "Everybody likes the village idiot, too, but that doesn't mean they want him as chief of police." |
