Subject: RE: Clifftop in 2 wks.! From: GUEST,brabla Date: 17 Jul 01 - 10:25 PM We'll be there, all the way from Californ-i-a. How do you recognize mudcatters - do they have a big "M" on their foreheads? |

Subject: RE: Clifftop in 2 wks.! From: BanjoRay Date: 23 Jul 01 - 07:54 PM For you non-Americans out there, Clifftop is the familiar name of the Appalachian Old Time String Band Festival held at Camp Washington Carver near the New River Gorge in West Virginia. For the best part of a week, you camp in the woods with a lot of folks into Old Time music. Lots of impromptu sessions - often world class quality - competitions (fiddle, banjo, string band etc) - Workshops, square dances, and some of the nicest people in the world. I had my first visit from the UK last summer, but unfortunately I can't go this year. I'll be there in '02 though, if I last that long! Cheers |
