Subject: Giok and Jock From: John MacKenzie Date: 18 Jul 01 - 03:58 PM For those of you who may be confused about the Giok/Jock spellings that I use. I wanted to use the name Jock when I registered which is what I was always known as on the folk scene, but it was taken. So I remembered what they wrote on my tab in an Italian run cafe I used to use in Richmond, Surrey [UK], many years ago. They used the Italian phonetic version i.e. Giok, and there you have it the birth of a nick-name. Jock/Giok/John |
