Subject: Long Shot...Rally 'Round the Corner From: khandu Date: 18 Jul 01 - 11:06 PM As I said...it's a long shot, but 'Catter's are good! In 1989, I saw a music video on a country music network. I saw it only once, I have no idea who did it. I believe the song's title is "Rally Round the Corner, Boys". The video was wonderful; an old man escaped from a nursing home and spent the day with his old cronies. As they sat on a park bench, the escapee grabbed his chest and died. Next scene: He is no longer old but in his prime. He sees a pasture of horses and hops on one. As he is whirling around a lovely lady comes to him and kisses him. Wonderfully done, great video! Ring anyone's bell? Who did it, what is the title if not "Rally..."? khandu |

Subject: RE: Long Shot...Rally 'Round the Corner From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 19 Jul 01 - 08:20 PM I'm afraid I haven't a clue - but it was slipping off the bottom, and this quest shouldn't die unnoticed, just because people are being so busy being nasty to each other on other threads.
Have you tried "Cowpie" khandu? It's up in the links somewhere and it's supposed to be to Country what the DT is to Folk. (But from the times I've tried it, it doesn't seem as good. Well, it wouldn't be. It hasn't got the Mudcat feeding into it.) |

Subject: RE: Long Shot...Rally 'Round the Corner From: Sorcha Date: 20 Jul 01 - 10:21 AM I have a vague memory of this. Was it a promo video or a full length feature? It feels sort of like Walter Matthau, Grumpy Old Men, maybe??? |
