Subject: Musical instruments Boston Mass. From: John MacKenzie Date: 21 Jul 01 - 11:22 AM Can anybody point me towards a suitably economical place in Boston, or NH/Maine to try find second-hand folk instruments? We also like junk and thrift shops. Jock

From: Whistle Stop Date: 24 Jul 01 - 12:24 PM I was going to recommend the Music Emporium, too, but stopped when I saw you were looking for something on the economical end of the scale. The Emporium is a great store, filled with knowledgeable people and wonderful instruments. But I don't know that you'll find it to be a bargain basement; they tend to deal in higher-end instruments (I have bought Martin, Larrivee and Lowden guitars there myself). Still, if you like the thought of spending some time in a music store full of great instruments, where they only invade your space if you want them to, it's worth a visit. |
