I'm wondering how the heck Rick managed to go from Johnny Colins to a recording of Peter T talking for a VERY long time about politics in a continent far, far away.

Weird...

...or some guy who sounds like Peter T. And it's still weird.

I think somebody must have hit a button to play a pre-recorded show, and Rick may have no idea he's not transmitting. Too bad I didn't write that phone number down!

Hmmmmm, must have been a glitch with the real audio. The show came through clear as a bell in Ontario. Whatever you heard wasn't Peter T. though. Environmentalist yes, anarchist , no. We'll report it to the station tomorrow.

Had great fun at Hugh's Room. Johnny sang, as well as Nancy White, Susan A&R, Balladeer, and me and the band. All around good night.

Cheers

Rick

Now I'm back (a little grumpy at having to work again.) Hugh's was great. Johnny Collins can Sing! as can Balladeer, and Rick can play and sing, but we knew that. He also has a wonderful group of musicians working with him. Lots of fun to hear a good dobro player, and Tony is great on mando and guitar. I like the quotes he slips in. Base and mando were also excellent, and the mando player tries to keep Rick in line. It's a great place to sing along and hear some fine old music. Glad I got there, and am still extremely sorry not to have brought my fiddle, after having gotten it all the way to Toronto. Another time.

Is Johnny physically IN Toronto? Is he planning to venture down into the states anywhere? Or was tonight a miracle of modern technology and he's really in Britain somewhere?

Johnny Collins is performing at a house concert in Orillia on Friday night, this week, don't have my watch on. Then on Saturday he is at the Millrace Festival in Cambridge Ontario. If anyone needs more info, repost and I will go and look up specifics. He is definitely NOT TO BE MISSED. JohnB
