Subject: Funding sources for Canadian musicians From: Marion Date: 25 Jul 01 - 07:47 PM Someone recently sent me these three links to organizations that you can apply to for grants. They're out of my league, but they might be of use to someone here. The last is for Ontarians.

Subject: RE: Funding sources for Canadian musicians From: Marion Date: 28 Oct 01 - 01:22 AM I recently heard from a friend whose band has made a couple of indie CDs, and she said: "we're finally going to be signed to a montreal record label - and we're applying, through them, for a grant from FACTOR - this seems like the best option for anyone canadian wishing to record - i would suggest it to you too, since the rumor is that they have a TON of cash that they're just DYING to give away to hungry artists.... " That's the FACTOR that I linked in my first post that she's talking about. Marion |

Subject: RE: Funding sources for Canadian musicians From: hesperis Date: 27 Jul 02 - 02:12 PM Interesting. I wish all these corporate non-profits would have somewhere ON THE SITE that says what they do. Why download a doc or pdf file just to find out that there's nothing there for you? And it has to use a lot of their bandwidth. *Shakes head* |
