I just heard what must be about the first play of a Mary Gauthier track on BBC radio. There's different for you. I don't recall any discussion of the lady and a forum search shows only a couple of modest mentions. My feeling is she will be big worldwide (if she isn't already).

I have to confess to being a massive Iris Dement fan and there are obvious similarities. Any views?

She is really talented, and I had the delight of interviewing her for our program TRADITIONS on WFDU. That was when her album Drag Queens & Limousines had just come out and she was not really well know yet.
