Halifax will see the new CD from Dave Stone and Friends. It's called Down Through Halifax, and is a historical look at the early years of the fair city of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

It's going to be held on Tuesday August 7th. 7PM at O'Carrolls

If you're in town that day, the day after our Natal Day celebrations, stop in there.

Wish him luck for me. Dave's a great writer. Even got one of his songs on my album "This One's the Dreamer". He's a good 'un.

Rick

Don't suppose Dave Stone and Friends will get anywhere my town of Halifax, W.Yorks! While we're on the subject, where did the one in Nova Scotia get it's name from? I'm told that the original derived from a flax drying hall, ie: Hall o' Flax - sounds like it may be true.

Ours was derived from Lord Halifax, if I remember the story correctly I'll have to ask to confirm.
