The song was on the original release of "Ordinary Man" album. It was about the Stardust Disco fire, and was called, (I think), "They never came home". The song is critical of the clubs management, (chained fire door's etc), who took legal action to have the album withdrawn, and a second version of the album was released with "Another song is born" replacing it.
If nobody comes up with a tune in this thread, I'll PM you and send you a tape.
love, john.

I was unable to find a midi of this on the web - but a great many of the midi sites are blocked (I'm behind an educational content filter) - cakewalk should be able to give you sheet music if you can find a midi.

Amergin, you really must get yourself a copy of Christy's songbook/autobiography "One Voice - My Life in Song"! It's got all the lyrics you're looking for.

If nobody else has it handy I could type it out for you, but I don't really have the time right now. :-)

Cheers,
Michael

yep its called "they never came home". was on the ordinary man lp to start with, then christy was took up for releasing the song (on contempt of court) and was made take it off and so it was replaced by "another song is born".
