Hi Folks:

I am happy to announce the release of my new CD. It features traditional and contemporary songs from Maritime Canada. I specialize in the Dr. Helen Creighton Collection and have, naturally, included several songs from this corpus.

You can find out more at my web site: http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/cs.croft/

Cheers, Clary

Welcome, Clary.

It certainly IS a wonderful CD. I thought I had already posted somethin about it here, but I can't find it right now.

The title is Still The Song Lives On, which is the title of a song which Clary penned to honour his mentor, Dr. Helen Creighton.

I must second the motion - this is a wonderful CD! Clary has such a pleasing voice and delivers the songs with a great sensitivity and understanding. It is obvious that he is committed to folk music. I particularly enjoy his recording of "Rinordine" - a version collected by Dr. Helen Creighton. He has a number of self-penned tunes including a very moving song called "Beautiful Pain". There is also a song he wrote about the last of the salt bank schooners called "Theresa E." which sounds like a folk song should!!!

As a radio show host I welcome this recording!! Check it out!

Ron, sorry, but you need to have a second look. Vince Morash wrote "Theresa E". He doesn't have a Web-site, but if you want his e-mail send me a message.

Oh, one more thing, that song came from Vince's first recording, Tide to Tradition. Lots of wonderful songs on it. HE has a second CD, which is not quite offically released yet.
