Avast, shipmates, I've bin rollin' in the scuppers these last three days, sick as the ship's rat. First chance, and inclination to crawl into the radio room, so I thought I would put up a Mayday to me Mudcat mates.

Mrs. Skipjack has been goin' light on me, so it must be serious. Runnin' 104 on the ship's thermometer, sweatin' fit to grow barnacles, and wee the colour of Adnams.

Anyway, shipmates, feel marginally better than yesterday, laying abed working out bass runs for accordions, and how to play the fiddle. I'm orf back to the bunk now, marrers, so I'll radio in again when I'm fittyways.

No Sloop tonight. Bah.

Sage advice taken, doctor consulted, only another 60 years left to live. Prodded, poked, penetrated, and declared to be in better shape than doctor.

Feel eminemly better this afternoon, and I thank you all for your condolences, especially Kat, whom the thread title was only meant to amuse, and obviously took it in good part. Someone had already nicked 'I think I've got a virus!'
