I'd have to agree with that, Rick. Billy Jack was terrible. The Trial of Billy Jack was even worse.

I have sat in the Billy Jack truck, donated by Tom Laughlin to Rolling Thunder's camp in Nevada.

I know you must be green with envy to hear that. I have not met Delores Taylor nor Tom Laughlin face to face, however.

Or Winona Ryder either for that matter...

What you have missed, Doug, is some of the counterculture's most embarrassing moments ever, plus some really seriously bad acting, plus a theme song that deserves -3 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Only rent these movies if you are prepared for the very worst.

And I think that Julia Roberts brother, Erik would be my vote for worst actor.

At least Shatner is amusing to watch!

Shatner is damned amusing! You should have seen him doing Loblaws commercials in Canada back in the 70's ("But, by gosh, the price is right!").

I think he earned himself a worthy place in entertainment history as Captain Kirk, as much because of his overdone acting as for any other reason. To give Bill credit, I've seen him make fun of himself for bad acting.

RangerSteve - I am entirely willing to read "Seven Years in Tibet", but I can't promise when I'll get around to it.

I want to thank everyone for their enthusiastic participation in this most auspicious thread! Much obliged.

I also agree that Charlton Heston has done some really notably bad acting.

Ms. Streep can't be all bad. She lives in the town just north or ours, shops at the local grocery store where we shop, and sends her kids to the public school just like ordinary folks (clearly a matter of choice, as we are surrounded by expensive private schools up here in northwest Connecticut). I like that, being a confirmed egalitarian.

One more not mentioned Vera Ralston, the wife of Herbert J Yates, she took part in almost all of Herberts movies, wooden wasn`t the word, she would have made a great partner for Pinocchio. Slan Ard Mhacha.

Kim Darby was absolutely fabulous in True Grit, and even better in Dont be Afraid of the Dark . and Bill Owen was the soul of Last of the Summer Wine. My al time worst actor ever is David Bowie, especially in that abortion The Man who Fell To Earth.
