Anyone know where Matt_R has taken himself off to? Surely he hasn't done a Bruce Olsen without any farewell?
I would like to think that perhaps he is in Scotland furthering his guitar skills under the tutelage of Tony McManus

I have wondered too Murray and though I certainly hope all is well, I can also hope this talented young man is off and about in the real world instead of mucking about with a bunch of aging codgers. It is the natural way of things and I wish him the best.

Last I remember he said he had a lot going on in the real world and sounded happy about it. I'll see if I can find where he said that. I miss him, too.

He did say he had a summer job and he was heavily involved in the Newman Center (Catholic Youth) so perhaps he has a real life.........I hope so.

You can have a real life and still visit mudcat occasionaly. I considered him a friend and do miss him. But he did spend an awful lot of time here. I'm glad he's got stuff going on away from a computer. Still, younger catters are dropping like flys (seems like). Not many of us left. I wonder who's going to be next? We should hire a dective to figure all this out!

I am really offended by your last comment. I consider Matt a friend. So do many of us here. If he has been hurt by anything I have said, I expect Matt would tell me.
In my last emails to him, he was glad to have found a "real" life with "real" people. I was disappointed that he was not planning to attend the Getaway. The music he currently performs would not, he thought, be welcomed. And he is right. He, however would be welcomed with open arms.

NOw, since Matt is not here to defend himself against his arch-enemy Kendall. I am forced to respond:"Gee Kendall, Matt was wondering the same about you!" By the way, did you finally confess to him about learning one of HIS songs?

I was wondering too... where's he gone, if he is busy then GREAT! Last 'chatted' to him on Paltalk, and he was a little blue but great that he is getting on with things. And as some of you have put it, got a real life.

I was wondering about Matt just the other day. I'm not worried because summer tends to be a very busy time. I bet he is out there on a beach with a battered old guitar singing some new rock song with friends all around him. If he thinks of us at all he's probably glad Kendall can't hear what he's singing (and Kendall is glad of that too) because he knows what he would say about it. And the kids sitting on that beach with him are glad to hear what he is singing, and they are joining in and having a great time. And there is a lovely young woman with flashing eyes and a dazzling smile and....

Sounds alot like my summer! Except for the rock songs. Been nothing put classical with some occasional blues and bluegrass picking for me (despite requests for songs from rock bands I've never heard of). You can also throw in the Liquid Lounge (new bar in Seattle) and nights of playing starcraft with friends on computers networked together. Summer can be great with good friends. I'm still not ready for this break to end. But if anybody has contact with Matt, tell him that I miss him!.
