This was tremendously helpful! Does anyone know where one can find the diction? (Pronunciations?) I am a vocalist exploring the language and I work with the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) but any sort of phonetic pronunciation would be helpful...

Mary Mc Laughlin has also recorded this - twice, I think. Once on the Anonyma album "Burnt Feathers" and I think she's come back to it on her "Celtic Requiem" album. We used to put it together with a song of mine called "Cathy loves a Priest" when we were touring as Anonyma.

Ard Mhacha is quite right about the Irish song 'Fill, fILL A run O, (Fill a roon O). Its about a young man who was ordained a priest and went away and became a Protestant Minister. The song has a beautiful air to it and has been recorded on CDs by many Irish artists. The song is supposed to be based on fact, a very popular Donegal song. Hiudai.

Do you know that the song is about a mothers plea for her son to return to the Catholic faith.It is one of the many songs from County Donegal,I would say that Donegal has more songs to its name than any County in Ireland.Slan Ard Mhacha.

I have been going CRAZY trying to find out about a song i heard in a movie. I would be greatful for any help. :) The movie is THE NEPHEW. It is sung for a wake and it is so beautiful, but i don't have a clue. I checked out the soundtrack and can't seem to find it. It sounds like Feel, Feel Aruon or something, hopefully someone here saw the movie and can help with my jiberish. Thank you.
