Does anyone know this song? I have the first verse, only, and would like the rest of it .The name may have been "my roundup days are done", or "Its the end of my roundup days" The first verse is...

Ive hung up my spurs and my saddle Put my horse in the old corral Said good by to my friends in the bunk house And the pals I loved so well

If anyone knows this, please post a reply. Thanks.

The title is "Its the end of my roundup days"

I can't find the lyrics, but there is a mp3 of the song on this site with (most) of the lyrics pretty easy to hear.

Ed

Transcribed from the audio file—see GUEST,Ed's link above.

THE END OF MY ROUNDUP DAYS
Milton E. Estes, J. L. Frank, Pee Wee King

1. I've hung up my spurs and my saddle,
Put my horse in the old corral,
Said goodbye to my friends in the bunkhouse,
And the pals I loved so well.

CHORUS: It's weary trail I must travel
To the end of this winding way.
I've hung up my spurs and saddle.
It's the end of my roundup days.

2. My roundup days are over.
My work on the range is done.
No more will I pal in the bunkhouse.
My life on earth is run. CHORUS.

[Recorded by Gene Autry.]

Ed, thanks for the link. There are some terrific audio files there. I esp. liked hearing the old fiddle maker playing his homemade fiddle with wooden fingers!
