I may have missed a preceding thread on this -- did a quick search and failed to root around and find anything -- if so, please direct me to the proper thread and don't wag your finger at me.

Otherwise: Are there plans afoot for meeting up at the Walnut Valley festival this year? I'm going to be staying in the Karen and GaryT camp Saturday and Sunday (the last weekend -- can't do any more than that because I'm going to be out of town ... ). Are others of the Mudcat persuasion going to be meandering and meeting up?

WW

I'll be the "one" screaming for Tommy! But seriously, I'll be in the walnut grove when I sleep for 4-5 hours per morning, the rest of the time I'll most likely be on walkabout in places unkown.

OH yeah, we'll be there too. Only another week and a half!! John's going down on Sunday the 8th to line up for Land Rush; Lin will be down shortly after that. Tell Gary you want to follow him to the camp that always wants him to sing "Frog-Kissing"--he'll know who you mean.

Looking forward to meeting any 'Cat who wants to drop by! We usually have a "pickin' canopy" set up for shade, and enough chairs to relax and play music in (and/or listen, if you're so inclined). Someone will likely offer you a beer, and Lin or John usually keeps the coffeepot going. Come on over and sit a spell!

Lin

Yea, well, crapola. The numbers just won't crunch enough. We wanted to, but can't do it this year (again). We HAVE to start putting $$ in a Winfield Account early this year. We're bummed.

Well shoot, Sorcha, I was hoping to see you and the clan this year. Sorry to hear that.

Anyway, back to WyoWoman's question, perhaps THIS year's thread will be a bit more helpful than the "earlier [as in TWELVE MONTHS EARLIER] thread" (thanks, John, for an opportunity to needle you mercilessly).

I intend to host Friday night jams in our camp. Both Fridays, 8:00. I'm not sure where we'll end up, but it will be in the Pecan Grove, more or less central if possible. Look for multicolored pennants, a`la used car lot. Always happy to meet, visit with, and play with Mudcatters, so drop by any time to say hi.

I'm sure we can schedule some sort of meeting during WyoWoman's time there, as it appears that won't include Friday night. Looking forward to seeing all of you, plus a few performers.

Well now we do get excited about Winfield!!!

I see my resident grunch picked up last years thread, and then Mr GT wants to needle me about the link I posted LAST YEAR to LAST YEARS thread.

So up until now, Lin In Kansas, Sorcha, and Gary T are the only ones who've been messin around in this old one, while the rest of us were wonderin' where they were over in the current thread.

needle needle needle needle back at ya' Gary.

John

Well, all I can say, John, is "O Watana Siam." Now, while I wipe this egg off my face, I've gotta go straighten up the mess I made in the current thread by referring to last year's messages here.

Where do I pick up my "idjit of the week" prize?

Our location has just been described to me thusly: camp NOWHERE. on the north side of the Pecan Grove road near the west gate. Big banner high in the sky that says "NOWHERE" Al and Barbara aka "brabla" = seldom used mudcat login.
