Can't seem to find this one in my search, although I thought it was there. I believe Karri Potter of Lady of the Lake and Bosum Buddies borrowed it from Emmylou Harris. Reminds me of the "Massa of the Sheepfold" that's been recently discussed on other threads.

It is in a thread somewhere, but always good to see again. The previous thread inckuded a discussion of melody that was pretty interesting. I'll see if I can find it.

I'm not sure why "Green Pastures" didn't come up the last time I tried a search, but I'm happy that I'm not losing my mind. Well, not with regard to this thread discussion. I'm not worried about the tune; I've already got my "merged" one in my head and it's too late to change.;-)

Susan, your links work fine but I still can't find "Green Pastures" when I start a fresh search. I get unrelated "Green Pasture" threads.

CN-- I found it by using the filter, not the search, since I know it by that title and was pretty sure I had posted the Lyric Add thread, once I didn't see the lyrics posted in the damn melody thread. Oops, I mean, the Damn Melody thread.
