Subject: Buffalo Balls and a Reptile Feast!!!! From: catspaw49 Date: 29 Aug 01 - 10:30 AM So Karen comes home this morning and tells me that the wacky bunch on the local radio she listens to (The Morning Zoo Crew,WNCI) have ordered some Rocky Mountain Oysters, the Buffalo variety from some company called Seattle's Finest Exotic Meats.......Do they have competition in Seattle? Anyway, I check the website and find they have Possum (Berry Fox?) and also Elk, Antelope, Wild Boar, Ostrich, Emu, and the like, but also Cobra? The Cobras are farm raised no less! Not the kind of farming I ever had in mind but................. If you scroll down THIS PAGE of Holiday Specials you can find that you can get a pound of Alligator, Frog Legs, Snapping Turtle, and Cobra, for only $94.95 plus shipping. If we weren't going to the Corn Festival, I'd order some up for supper! Geeziz............Ostrich Shell? Spaw |

Subject: RE: BS: Buffalo Balls and a Reptile Feast!!!! From: GUEST,iamjohnne Date: 29 Aug 01 - 11:04 AM What is the problem spaw? I like my Mountain oyssters battered and deep fried. And the gator tail needs some cajun flavoring to suit me. Of course turtle makes good soup I do admit though, I beleive I would have to draw the proverbial line at the cobra. I dont know what to serve with it. Maybe some nice indian curry? Johnne "goin where the weather suits my clothes" |

Subject: RE: BS: Buffalo Balls and a Reptile Feast!!!! From: Marymac90 Date: 29 Aug 01 - 12:58 PM Well, if the tab is too steep for your purse at this place, then I suggest the Road Kill Cafe, immortalized in song by John Flynn.
Just scrape it off the tire Marymac |
Subject: RE: BS: Buffalo Balls and a Reptile Feast!!!! From: Kim C Date: 29 Aug 01 - 12:58 PM Any of you that watched Fear Factor at all know that one week, the contestants had to eat boiled buffalo testicles. The girls dropped out of that one. I had calf fries in Texas at the Stockyards Cafe, with milk gravy, a side of jalapenos and a Lone Star Beer. Very good. |

He goes into this little diner and orders the special, all you can eat Lamb Fries. He's on his third plate or so when the waitress says, Most folks don't have a taste for testicles anymore... I don't remember the name of the movie but I sure remembe that scene! |

Subject: RE: BS: Buffalo Balls and a Reptile Feast!!!! From: gnu Date: 29 Aug 01 - 06:20 PM Then there's the one about the tourist in Spain who, disgusted at first, developes a taste for the daily special of testicles from the previous evening's bullfights. On the fourth day, they taste awful, are tough as leather and are miniscule. When he complains to the waiter, the reply is, "Senor, sometimes, the bull, he win." |
