Well, now, here is a great little story from the Los Angeles Times. Check out the accompanying slide show. Who are the personnel in the Monroe band? I believe this is just pre-Bill Keith (that is certainly not him on banjo), but the lead singer may be Del McCoury.

Upon further review -- it looks to me like Del on banjo (does he play banjo?), and James Monroe singing lead. We need one of the many experts out there...
