Hello, Jon in Hull told me to have a look at this site, so here I am. I am bus driver, I have two cats and I live near Tesco's.I don't play any instruments but I write songs and poetry.

The whole of Hull? That is scary.........the hole of Hull could take over Mudcat and leave Yorkshire in the hull singing nothing but shantys..........on the other hand, we could call Scotty to beam up the Hole of Hull across the Whole Humber Bridge........

(ducking for cover........)

Welcome, Rob.

Since you just came in from out there, I have just one question for you.

What the hell does the other half of Hull do for entertainment?

On second thought, maybe I don't want to know.....

Actually, The Yorkshire Tornado — my strife — is from Hull and we visited there a couple of years ago. She lived in several places, but her favourite was Thornton Abbey. Her dad was the caretaker for the National Trust. Nice place!

Welcome to the 'Cat

Rob, welcome! If you contribute half as much to Mudcat as John from Hull does, you'll be making a meaningful contribution. Enjoy!

Half of Hull is entertainment, half is audience. We get the better half here I bet.

What is it with you lot in Hull and the Mudcat? Are you lot trying to organise a take-over? I think I'd better warn Max!

Seriously, welcome to the Mudcat, Rob. I can't sing the praises of the Mudcat, it's members (and guests), and last but not least Max and his devoted team enough.

I look forward to seeing you around....perhaps at the next gathering?

John

You still up for the Great North Run, John? I was pole-axed by a virus in early August, and it's put me right back (Prayers for a sick tuna), but I'm still going to try and hobble round.

Welocme Rob, from a Yellabelly.

That's nearly as many hookers as there are in Hull, PQ, Canada. Don't know what the ambient population is, though.

Hiya Rob, when I was back in the UK I lived for a week and a bit just up the road ( Sunderland) and I would have really liked to have stayed in the area. Northeast England is very beautiful.

Was that what you were planning last weekend at Windy?

Sorry not to have said "hi" earlier but my computer had had to go on it's holidays to the magician to be mended.

Welcome all members in Hull and especially Rob.
Proud to have been to 'ull most year's for the shanty festival.
I must say that we always find it very hard to find anywhere open serving food after 7pm in the town center(except for really expensive!!). Also there seems to be a huge amount of furniture shops!! Perhaps they don't eat out in Hull they buy comfy furniture????
