In my grandfather's legacy, I found those partial mystic lyrics about Easter 1916. Because I want to publich, check it for failures in content and comprehension. If any one knows a matching tune, please contact me.

Best regards, Benjamin Wasner-Stuart

THE OTHER FRONT

At a day long desired with some gaelic pride they dared to rebel fighting side by side for jusitice and freedom those gorily died cause a Green Flag they hoisted by GPO's site.

Old Doolin's united to one gallant band Citizens 'n' Volunteers they stood hand in hand with parity of genders too the cumann na mBann and other comrades, did fight not ran.

On O'Connell Street subsisted the Republic which made them soldiers of a foreign state but in battlefields rage and thenceforth hate the Reds called them peccants and drunkards. Though bold Major Vane kept the prisoners' rights Colthurst and partners had nasty delight with slaked lime to erase those lucid lights who brought that gleam of hope to the dark irish night.

For their belief and their junction Eire's bravest were with their extreme unction. There was non among them regretting, as they faced their execution's setting.

For Fifteen martyrs of old Ireland dear, and for a thousand others we poured the tear. And their heaven's accension'll not end the bond, because they keep unshakened fighting on an other front.

The Almighty himself is the very commander, MacDia, [the son of God] he waves the green standard of Heaven's far-famed First Irish Brigade for keep out the red devils with a fiery blade.

Hard to picture a musical setting to this. Seems like a poem. The last verse is certainly bizarre. Talk about 'with God on our side'! Not much room for any form of compromise with THAT author.

Some Verses I hardly understood in content, so I am pleased about every constructively coment. I did not write it, so I need your help to set that in a form I can publish, if need be with omission of the last verse.

Regards, Benjamin Wasner
