Help: transatlantic cassette

Does anyone know if cassettes usually survive a mail journey from the UK to the US? I am a little anxious that the magnetic tape might get wiped by some security measures at the airport.
I know this sounds paranoid....even to me as I am typing it but I need to know

I've never had a probolem with it, either direction. I think it'd be fine. You can always label it or ask the Postal people to label it, saying the package contains magnetic tape.
